Ser agradecido

Be grateful

Gratitude is the cure for dissatisfaction, according to several positive psychology studies, according to which this personality trait, feeling, virtue, or behavior—whatever you want to call it—connects us with reciprocity and an awareness of the good that others do for us.

Being grateful generates a feeling of well-being and love, which sooner or later tends to become a chain, since our brain automatically converts this stimulus into a reciprocal impulse that translates into good deeds toward the environment, others, and ourselves.

Gratitude counteracts negative attributes and feelings such as narcissism, selfishness, social comparison, cynicism, and materialism. Therefore, those who feel gratitude tend to be more satisfied with their reality, happier, and have better interpersonal relationships.

As the ancient Stoics stated, Gratitude is an essential virtue in the pursuit of happiness, as it refocuses attention on the good we have and the consequences of this change are better and more positive experiences
