Organic Coffee from Tolima is another special edition from La Verde Central that stands out for being certified with the Eco-Cert and USDA Organic seals. It's a Castillo-Cautra variety bean that offers sweet notes of vanilla and chocolate, as well as light notes of cedar that give it a woody touch.
47. Urbania Café - Peace
Café Urbania is a Colombian company committed to social and environmental responsibility in its coffee production. Through its motto, "Good coffee is coffee that is good with others," it seeks to raise awareness about the positive impact that coffee extraction and marketing can have in our country.
The "Peace" specialty coffee line was developed with the goal of contributing to peacebuilding in areas affected by violence and armed conflict, such as Dabeiba, Briceño, and Peque in the department of Antioquia.
This coffee has a flavor of chocolate, caramel, and red berries. It features a variety of Castillo beans, harvested at 1,800 meters above sea level in Antioquia.
48. Terrarium - Mandarin Coffee
Terrario is a coffee shop located in Medellín that produces its own specialty coffees. It has been a coffee producer for over 17 years, with 5.4 hectares planted with coffee.
Their new specialty, "Café mandarino," comes from the San Jerónimo municipality of Antioquia and is planted and harvested by coffee grower Sandra Gomez. It's a blend of magarojipe and caturro fruits with notes of yellow fruits.
49. Umbra Valley - Premium Medium Roast Coffee
Valle de Umbra is a company dedicated to the cultivation, production, distribution, and export of mild Colombian coffees, specifically premium and specialty coffees with flavors and aromas reminiscent of our country.
Its coffee production takes place in different areas of the Colombian Coffee Cultural Landscape, specifically in the municipalities of Belén de Umbría in Risaralda, Filandia in Quindío, and Ulloa and Alcalá in Valle del Cauca, at altitudes between 1,400 and 1,600 meters above sea level.
Premium coffee comes from a 100% Castillo Arabica variety, which contains no blends or additives. The coffee is hand-picked and roasted in fluid-bed roasters to achieve a consistent coffee process.
This is a smooth coffee with sweet tones and chocolate notes, and a clean, balanced, and aromatic cup. It's packaged in a three-layer laminated bag that's 80% eco-friendly.
50. Don Gallego Café - Diamond Line
Don Gallego is a specialty coffee brand with plantations in Belén, Risaralda. Their farm is located in Buena Vista, and for 30 years they have worked to bring the best coffee to Colombian homes. They were recently awarded the FNC Top Ten Land Diversity 2022 and Top Roast 2022 awards.
The Buena Vista estate has more than 14,000 geisha trees, and one of its most iconic coffees, belonging to the Diamond line, was produced through an anaerobic washing process.
This process begins with ripe cherries that are pre-fermented, pulped, sorted, and then anaerobically fermented again in a dried bioreactor with a dehumidification system. This coffee has notes of tropical fruits, tamarind, watermelon, honey, vanilla, and floral tones.
